Adventure Glacier Elopement in the Heart of the Last Frontier
As a destination wedding photographer, I have been lucky enough to capture some truly breathtaking moments. Still, I have to say that photographing this elopement in Alaska was an experience unlike any other!! The raw beauty of the Alaskan wilderness is truly indescribable, and I feel so honored to have been able to capture it and save these memories between Jasmin and Daniel!
When I first met these two, I could tell that they were truly meant for each other. Their love was so raw, and I knew that their elopement was going to be something special. Jasmin and Daniel met where they grew up in Kauai, Hawaii, and they recently moved across the world to the Last Frontier. The entire day, they told me stories about why they loved each other which only made the hike and elopement that much more special!!
As we hiked up the glacier, I was struck by the silence. It was a peaceful silence, one that you don’t often experience in our busy, modern world. The only sounds were our footsteps on the ice, the distant roar of the glacier, and the occasional bird call. It was a reminder of just how small we are in this vast, beautiful world. Moments like these remind me of how great the Lord truly is!!
When we reached the top, the view was nothing short of breathtaking. The glacier stretched out as far as the eye could see, with mountains rising up on either side. The sun was just starting to peek through the clouds, casting a warm, golden light over Jasmin and Daniel; this was a moment I will never forget!
The couple exchanged their vows in the middle of the glacier, surrounded by the stunning natural beauty of Alaska. I was able to capture the love and emotion between them, as well as the grandeur of the landscape. The resulting photographs were truly stunning, and I feel so grateful to have been able to create something so beautiful.
I’m always looking for new and unique ways to capture love and emotion, and Alaska makes this that much easier! This elopement on a glacier in Alaska was one of the most incredible experiences of my career, and I’ll always treasure the memories and photographs from that day.
