As a photographer, I’ve been able to document countless love stories. BUT Lucy and Joshua’s wedding day holds a special place in my heart, as their love story itself is a testament to the power of friendship, faith, and genuine connection!! Their hearts were intertwined from the day they met, and it was so beautiful to see them as husband and wife!!
From the moment I arrived at their wedding venue, it was clear that every detail had been carefully chosen and held a deep sentimental value; the elegant florals, radiant jewelry, and the charming atmosphere of their venue set the stage for what would become an incredibly emotional and heartfelt day. River Valley Church also has many memories tied to Lucy and Josh as that is one of the places they grew up knowing each other.
One of the most unforgettable moments was witnessing Lucy and Josh lay eyes on each other for the first time – it’s a moment that I’ll forever cherish. Their love was so raw, and tears of joy flowed freely as they stood next to each other, realizing that this was the day they had been dreaming of – the day they’d become husband and wife. The two of them also decided to have their own private vows together. It was a beautiful testament to their love and commitment, and the intimacy of that moment was something truly special to capture!!
Still, the love surrounding Lucy and Josh on their big day extended far beyond just the two. Family and friends, who had supported their relationship since the early days when they were just friends at their church, were there to celebrate this momentous occasion!! Whether you were a part of Lucy or Joshua’s family or a close friend, so many people in their day fully supported every inch of their choice to get married.
The ceremony itself felt like something straight out of a movie. Lucy and Joshua exchanged their vows in one of the oldest buildings in Minneapolis, surrounded by their loved ones. Together, they worshipped the Lord, and in that sacred space, they became husband and wife, sealing their love with a kiss that echoed throughout the entire room with joy, peace, and an overwhelming love from Jesus!!
The celebrations continued well into the night with laughter, dancing, delicious food, and the radiant glow of a couple deeply in love. As the sun dipped below the Minneapolis skyline, Lucy and Joshua ran into the sunset together, hand in hand. It was a breathtaking sight, a perfect metaphor for their journey ahead – running into their future together, full of love, adventure, and eyes set on the Lord!!
Their wedding day was not just a day of union but a day of reflection on their incredible journey together. It was a day that showcased the beauty of their love story, one that had grown from friendship, blossomed through faith, and was now forever documented through the lens of my camera.
Lucy and Joshua’s wedding wasn’t just another job for me as a photographer. It was a privilege to be part of their love story, to capture the raw emotions, the heartfelt vows, and the joyous celebrations. Their day will forever hold a special place in my heart, a reminder of the power of love, faith, and the importance of surrounding oneself with those who truly cherish and support your journey!!
“I knew immediately when I met Sam that she was something special. She has the most incredible personality and works so dang hard to create the literal BEST experience for her clients.
Throughout the entire process, she was thoughtful and attentive to detail. She felt like a friend the instant we connected and will be a friend for a long time. On our wedding day, she was perfect. She kept me (the bride) super calm the day of and reassured me. She’s really great at listening to what you’d like to do and is quick to adjust on the fly! Also, the photos are just downright jaw-dropping!! Every single one was frame-worthy!
Trust me, you will not regret having Samantha as your photographer because she is just simply above and beyond that.”
